July 2020!
Wow! We are halfway through 2020; it has been a crazy and different year. The virus has not affected us at the ranch in any way. We have been healthy and been able to continue our normal routine here, which is a very big blessing. We have had several young women go home and are in contact with them and their parents.
We have a young lady who should be getting ready to graduate from BootCamp in the Army in about a month; this is a very exciting time for both her and her family. Now, we have a yong lady in every branch of the military, including the Coast Guard.
We have had three young ladies go home, over the last 5 weeks, and they are doing very well. The last one to go home, cried in the airport, telling us how much she loved us and will miss us. One young lady is getting ready to join the military and is enjoying spending time with her parents; it is wonderful to geta call from them. The last is looking at what she wants to do with her future, it is amazing to see where she started and where she is now. We are blessed beyond measure to be able to be a part of the girls' lives.
Brandy graduated college earlier and just got married; they are looking forward to their new life together and we are very excited for them.
We have several young ladies preparing to leave, some are heaading home, while others are making plans for adulthood.
We are so thankful that God has been blessing in so many ways; we have received several donations of food and other items, which have helped in so many ways. On top of these blessings, we have had several young ladies make professions of salvation; we know that satan cannot stand that, and we watch him fight so hard. We are thankful that God always wins; even if it doesn't appear that He is winning.
We are looking forward to the rest of 2020 and cannot wait to see what God has in store for us. "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
"But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have seteemed the workds of his mouth more than my necessary food." Job 23:10-12
To think that God would consider worthy of His trust to go through adversity and storms, like He did for Job and the early church, is sowm of the times overwhelming. We thank everone who prays for us, but we also thank those who are allowing God to used you to attack us; this strengthens our faith, and draws us closer to the One who saved us. "And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name." Acts 5:40
