March 2016

A – He has much work to do there

1 – He has to distract the congregation from the service

a – “Oh, I wish they would not sit behind me, or at least not sing, they are so off key”

b – “Look how they are dressed and did they mean to comb their hair like that?”

c – “Why are they sitting in my seat?”

d – He really uses the educated to correct the Preacher’s grammar errors and when the Preacher leaves a word out or rearranges a verse they are quick to catch it.

2 – His best work is when he speaks of evil in a man’s heart, they nod or yell “Amen”, but immediately they think of someone else’s sins, but not once think the sermon applies to them.
3 – After the service, he quickly has the conversation go to:

The weather

The work week ahead

Things in the news

The money market

The upcoming elections

Anything that will keep our minds off: 1.) of the sermon 2.) any impression it might have made on our hearts and last, but not least 3.) convictions we may have come under.

YES! Satan goes to Church. He does some of his best work there!

I Peter 5:8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
